Why is my footer modification isn't working

Hey,
Sorry to be posting again, i followed advice i found and it worked on a different theme, however on twenty twelve it works half way.
When i add the footer.php if i only put text, it shows fine (so far) but when i add links they dont show.

What i use it;

<footer id="colophon" role="contentinfo">

			<div class="site-info">
<p>All rights reserved to <a href="site adress">sitename</a> ·some text<p>

the text shows but the site doesnt appear as a link.. //

<a href="link to PP">Privacy Policy</a>|<a href="link to aboutpage">Contact</a>

Now, the links, won’t add up, i tried a lot of formats and ways, What is the right way to write this and add links ?
