why images are stored in the WP media library

Hello Admin,

Kalyan here. I am very impressed with your wonder plugin. Anyway, while checking, even though all my images are uploaded to Google drive, why do I see images in the WP media library. Is it okay? Are image also being stored in my local server/wp installations?
