The software is good (enough), and it pretty much does what Mailpoet says it does.

However, the support is terrible. As soon as you mention CSS, Mailpoet pull the shutters down, they don’t want to know.

I use Iframes, and have a fairly unique question that I researched thoroughly before putting to Mailpoet, but the answer I got from them was an answer from a company that just wanted me to disappear.

Looking around the forums, even some premium users were having trouble getting Mailpoet to communicate with them.

And for that reason, I am giving this plugin one star. A product like this becomes useless if you need help fixing a problem, but the help isn’t there, or isn’t good enough.

This is a commercial product. Once you get to 2000 subscribers, you have to pay….and I was looking forward to that day…

But I can’t have anything to do with people who treat you like you don’t exist when you have a serious problem.

Don’t supply software if you can’t or won’t support it properly. This is commercial software, and we are tomorrows paying customers.

As you can see in your support ticket, the last reply is from our team, asking if the solution proposed was useful. We replied 2 days after you.

As such, I don’t think your criticism is very fair. You asked a question, we gave a solution. You seemed confused, so we clarified and asked if it made sense to you. You didn’t reply any further.

Unfortunately we are a very small team and cannot reply to every WordPress repository ticket immediately, but we did reply to you within 2 days.

As we mentioned in your repo ticket, there is no way to have multiple iFrame form styles. The only way to have multiple form styles is to manually edit the HTML of a form and edit the CSS directly.

    Thank you,
    The MailPoet Team

I did some research and found sendinblue, So I will be using their service instead, which is better suited to the way that I personally set up WordPress, as it is a hosted rather than self hosted service.

No response from you would actually be better than the half hearted response I got, and even having the option of paying a fee for a proper help service from your website would be perfectly acceptable.

Given that so many questions revolve around styling, refusing to answer question about styling is very strange. You have web pages that provide information about styling, but when I searched the forum I found that you rarely if ever provide links to those help pages in your responses, which would at least soften the blow for users.

My low score may make people read this, and my words are perfectly reasonable even if you think the rating isn’t….and it might make you better organise your help for people in the future, even if that means charging a small fee.
