Why has my .htaccess file broke my comments?

  • Hey everyone,

I have a WordPress Blog that sits along side my site. The other day I created an .htaccess file to redirect people to my sites www. address as opposed to without. Anyway, the redirect works fine, as does the rest of my site, but the comments on my WP no longer post and end up sending people to a blank white screen. I’ve erased the .htaccess and tested the comments and they post just fine when it’s erased, but I really do need it to work eventually.

Is there a conflict going on, I thought it’d be fine as the file is in my root folder and nowhere near WP. Any ideas? (The only adjustments I’ve made to my WP is to put my ICRA label in it to stop under 18’s getting in)

Thank you in advance everyone. Any help is appreciated. 🙂

  • In admin > Options > General are the two URI values with or without www ?

Mr Moderator…..I think I love you!!! All fixed, Thank you. It always seems so obvious that I should have thought of that when people point it out 🙂

    Thanks again,
