Support » Plugin: Gutenberg » Why force this?

I’ve been using WP as a full CMS for years. From bare bones themes to child themes, I’ve done full scale websites for many types of industries. I have been using several choice, and popular plugins to display content for CMS reasons.

I’ve always respected WP for not caring about their competition and doing right by PHP developers, but this is not a good DEFAULT option for WP. This plugin seems geared more towards blog content-heavy types of websites, not CMS websites. What are the stats of blog vs. CMS sites?

The fact that I’ve been using WP for more than 10 years the same way, and now they force this on us is disappointing. I think this should have just remained a plugin vs. the default editor, and the fact that WP is discounting so many complaints is deflating.

While Gutenberg might be good for some types of sites, and I’m glad so many people do enjoy it – it shouldn’t be the default option for this CMS platform. I am not a fan, and I’ll stick with the classic as long as possible. I’m a huge believer if “it aint broke, don’t fix it”.

WP POLL YOUR DEVS – LISTEN TO YOUR DEVS – YOU NEVER KNOW WHEN SOMETHING ELSE WILL COME ALONG AND TAKE OVER. The fact that there are 2000+ complaints about this should really say something.
