  • Could be that sidebar(s) aren’t widget ready. Look for function_exists('dynamic_sidebar') in the sidebar template file. If you can’t find it, then the sidebar template file will need to be edited to use widgets.

I didn’t edit the theme but I will try to unzip it and download it again. Were you able to look at the files from the zip? Thanks Esmi – I’m going to reinstall the theme from scratch

Hmmm Installed it from scratch and still nothing…. I dont get it. Any suggestions? Maybe it was never made to have a sidebar and the files are there to mess with you but nothing in this theme works right. I wonder if there is anyone else out there using it.

I’ve just downloaded and checked the theme. Guess what – the only call to the sidebar is in archive.php – which looks like a straight copy from the WordPress default theme! As does sidebar.php!

    That’s not a proper theme. sorry. 🙁

After trying several tutorials I found a website that explains it SUPER easy how to add widgets to any wordpress theme. Even if it is not widget ready. It rocks.

    Worked for me.
