Support » Plugin: WP AMP Ninja » why does plugin use site.com/postname/?wpamp

  • as you can see in some support threads, people expect the post to be appended with /amp/

other 3rd party plugins like html human readable sitemap generators or latest post plugins are going to at least add a ‘/’ to the end

sort of a deal breaker for what might be a decent plugin

  • In our upcoming version, /amp/ will be available. We have to continue the /wpamp version for our existing users.

thanks – appreciate the attention to detail and positive response. I know the last thing you want to do is support two versions, so maybe you can make a painless way to allow /amp/

That’s the plan. But, while we do that, we need to ensure the existing users have an option to continue using the old slug. Otherwise, it would create new URL’s, and hence new pages for search engines to index. While indexing them is one thing, getting the old 404 URL’s out of search, quite another 🙂
