# Why does everyone hate e-commerce on WP?

 * I’m new to the WP community but I’ve been working in e-commerce for several years
   now. Whenever WP people find out about my e-commerce background they always tell
   me that “WP really needs a good e-commerce solution.”
 * It looks like most people are using either the WP E-Commerce plugin or Cart 66.
   I haven’t done an in depth review of these solutions but on the surface it would
   seem these are both pretty decent plugins.
 * I’d like to contribute something to the WP community that would address the e-
   commerce gap but I need some help understanding why people are so unsatisfied
   with the current offerings. I’m convinced there’s a need but I can’t move forward
   without some specifics.
 * Your feedback is appreciated.

 * Mostly because of unfixed bugs and the lack of features, support and documentation(
   at least for non-commercial plugins).
 * Both WP E-Commerce and Cart66 have free and paid versions, so people can’t be
   blamed for thinking that the focus/support of the plugin developers is on the
   premium version.
 * Although I think WP E-Commerce is better than before since it now uses custom
   post types.
