• Hi there guys.

I’m new to all this, so please bear with me.

I have a home page which by default is called “Home”. Now on this page, I want to put some information about me. Which is all well and good. I have created another page and added some content. Again which is fine. I have then created a third page titled Events.

Now any posts I make, I only want them to appear on the Events page and no other. The problem that I am having, is that every time I create a new post, not only does it appear on the Events page, but it also appears on the Home page as well.

Any ideas what I am doing wrong?

    Thanks for your help

  • First, I recomment you to read the documentation of WordPress, especially the difference between “Post” and “Page” usage in WordPress.

Hi there, I have tried that.

I have got my home page with text on as well as my other main pages. the categories are ok, but as soon as I place a post on say, a category, it also appears on the Home Page. Does anyone know why it is doing this?

    Argggghhhhh

Have *un*checked he “Uncategorized” (or whatever your default category is called) category? it’s checked by default.
