Does anyone know why, when I activate PMP, it causes every single blog post I’ve made to disappear from my main blog page?

When I deactivate PMP, clicking on links to my blog or typing the url into the address bar takes me to my blog page and my posts reappear again, so the problem is with PMP.

    Thanks.

PMPro doesn’t have code to remove blog posts from the main blog page on activation. We’ll need more information to help you. What else have you done after activating PMPro? Did you setup a level? Did you add a category to that level? If so, check the Advanced tab in the settings and see if the “hide member posts from searches and archives” setting is set to yes. You probably want it to no… or you want the show excerpts setting set to yes.

    Good luck.

For anyone seeing this thread and possibly experiencing the same thing, check your settings under Memberships > Advanced Settings in the WordPress admin.

Cbabrun most likely locked posts using the category settings, and had the “hide posts from non-members” set to “yes” (so all posts “disappeared”).

There are a few options there related to how locked content is displayed. You can hide members-only posts completely from non-members via the “hide member posts from searches and archives” setting (Yes or No).

Additionally, there is a separate settings to show or hide post excerpts to non-members.
