Why do subscribers show up in author dropdown menu for posts?

    When creating a new post, those with Subscriber role show up in the Author dropdown menu. Shouldn’t it be only Authors that show up there? How can this be fixed?

    I’m using the Suffusion theme.

    Okay, figured this out. Somehow, the subscribers in question had been marked in the database with a User Level of 1, when they should be 0. Not sure how it happened, but apparently it happened long ago, as all the records so marked are early entries.

    So, I just edited the db, and they don’t show up in the dropdown anymore.
