[Resolved] Why default archive monthly url not working?

  • If you use %post_id% within the first three sections of your permalink structure, WordPress forces the “date” indicator in there so it can tell the difference between dates and post IDs in the URL.

Otherwise it might not be able to tell whether http://example.com/2007 meant the year 2007 or the post with an id of 2007.

Don’t want “date”? Don’t use %post_id% in your permalinks.

Thanks…was guessing this reason only. Thanks for the information. Query resolved.
