Support » Plugin: WooCommerce Pay for Payment » Why change this with version 2.0.9 ?

Hello and thank you for continuing with the maintenance of this plugin.

With the 2.0.9 update the surcharge that until now worked correctly for COD payments ceased to apply.

To make it work again I had to remove “Any Free Method” in Woocommerce “Enable for shipping methods”.

I do not see the meaning and it doesn’t seem valid for all possible custom configurations.

    Regards.

    Hi GosserBox,

Thanks for reporting the issue, I’m terribly sorry. I was solving the problem with “COD” enabled just for certain payment methods last night and I have overlooked the possibility to have selected “Any Free Method” and “Any Local Pickup”, I’m working on it.

Meanwhile, I took step back and nobody should be able to update to 2.0.9. The 2.0.10 will contain the fix for all possible settings of “Enable for shipping methods”.

Thanks for understanding and I’ll be back

    Hi @gosserbox,

version 2.0.10 is out with this critical fix, thanks again for reporting it pretty soon. It could have a way worse impact.

My intention wasn’t to break down someone’s site – somebody just reported that before the fee was hanging around even if the cod wasn’t available for selected country/shipping method until you have manually selected an available payment method. I thought that I have fixed that but the “any” method slipped out of the testing.

    Thanks again for stepping in

    Hello @vyskoczilova … sometimes it happens 😛

I contributed with the translation into Castilian (Spanish), with the original creator of the plugin. It was very easy to do, but now I have to become a collaborator… and seems long and complicated.

I updated the translation and, I was wondering if there is a simple way to send it to you.

    Regards.

Hi @gosserbox, yeah, unfortunately 🙁 I’m trying to maintain my free plugins when I have time and sometimes it’s not ideal.

For localization it should be quite straightforward:

    1. just head to https://translate.wordpress.org/locale/es/default/wp-plugins/woocommerce-pay-for-payment (or click on “languages: see all” and on “Translate into your language”)
      • translate the untranslated strings
      • and the language editor will approve them soon, otherwise, I can ask the Spanish guys to make you as well one of the editors.

You need to be logged in, but shouldn’t be a problem for you.

    Best regards!
    Karolina
