Why can't I leave comments on WordPress.com blogs?

    @menzieshunt

    I have a WordPress.org blog. I have never had a WordPress.com site. However every time I try to leave a comment on a fellow blog hosted on WordPress.com, it recognises my email address and asks me for my WordPress.com password, which of course I can’t give. To make matter worse when I click the “forgotten your password” link it tells me there is no account linked with this email address. Arghhh . A total catch-22 situation and no-one to contact at WordPress!!!

  • Your WordPress.org login is only for WordPress.org user profile, plugin reviews, forums and the codex.

    You will need another login if you want to login into WordPress.com. To my knowledge they are not the same login.

    You can read more about the difference between WordPress.org and WordPress.com here:
