[Resolved] Why can’t I change post time stamp to previous date?

  • I try setting the post date to March 1999 (i’m trying to incorporate posts from long ago) .

By setting the date as I want it and then pressing “Save and Continue Editing” and then “Publish” or “Save” I get the system to accept the year 1999. However the date always becomes 20 August (ie today) and not 10 March, which is what I want. What am I doing wrong?

  • Make sure that the date is set the way you want, and the “Edit Timestamp” option is checked, before you click Publish. I’ve experienced some occasional weirdness with timestamps when posts get published, as opposed to when they’re saved as drafts.

Alternately, after you publish, edit the post, adjust the time, and then save. That should work, too.

It works now, many thanks Skippy.
