Why are some pages pushed to the right? (8 posts)

I am volunteering to work on a friend's wordpress site. I am not very sophisticated at this but I am modifying an existing theme. Perhaps someone who is better than I would know the answer to this:

    Site: http://www.presencechicago.com
    CSS: http://www.presencechicago.com/wp-content/themes/sandbox/style.css

Why do the blog posts (under "home") appear correctly? (Entire page is centered)
Why do the pages (the links like "contact" and "reviews") seem to be pushed about 30-50px to the right?

    Any help would be appreciated.

can you provide links to 2 examples that illustrate the problem please?

    this one works: x
    this one doesnt: x

Like so? easier for you to do that then have us all hunting, yes?

    Thanks for the quick reply!

This one works (index page/posts): http://www.presencechicago.com/

This one doesn't work (wordpress page): http://www.presencechicago.com/contact/

You'll see the browser window appear to jump to the right if you switch between the two pages.

Ive opened both links next to one another in FF and there isnt "jumping"

the ONLY visible difference I see is that one has month tabs in brown and one doesnt -- and THAT changes as I switch between those 2 pages.

    what browser are you using?

In your CSS you have #uberwrapper set up with a minimum width of 1028px and a max width of 1100px. When you go to your contacts it goes to the minimum. Try changing the min width to 1100px. Hopefully that should work...

Thanks for your help so far.
I am using Max and it's the same in Safari and Firefox.

Here are some screenshots to show what I mean.

Nothing is different between the two screens except that I clicked on different links on the site. If I try to fix the width it doesn't seem to matter. And if I try to align everything to the left, the WordPress Pages (like contact) still have a margin on the left side, which is weird.

    Maybe I have a <div> problem, but I can't find it.

    Any other thoughts?

Your theme seems to generate a div class based on the date and page id. Try adding .wordpress { margin: auto; } to your CSS...

Thanks for your help! I found out that it was a line that gave both posts and pages a 150px padding on the left. By changing that for just pages, I was able to make it work.
