Go to PowerPress >> Settings >> Episodes and check the box next to iTunes Summary Field and click the Save Changes button at the bottom of the page. Now, you’ll see an iTunes Summary box within the Podcast Episode area of your WordPress posts. You can enter different information here than what appears in your main blog post, and that is what’ll be shown in podcasting apps that work off the iTunes Summary tag.
Different apps use different parts of your podcast RSS feed. The iTunes desktop client, for example, uses the iTunes Summary tag. The iOS Podcasts app, however, uses the information from the main CDATA block of your feed. You have no control over which part of the feed these apps decide to use.

I already did that and populated the field with my custom description but in the feed I only see “<description></description>”.
Also, If I check to upload a custom image, it does not work either.

What’s the URL to the podcast RSS feed you’re having trouble with?
I am using Libsyn as my hosting provider, if it helps
And it’s a bit frustrating because I look at people like Pat Flynn who recommended this plugin and he has a super short and nice description that is catchy, not the full article.

I’m wondering if the “description” you’re referring to is actually the iTunes Subtitle field. Go to PowerPress >> Settings, Advanced Mode >> Episodes and make sure the box is checked next to iTunes Subtitle Field. Save the changes if needed. You should now see an iTunes Subtitle field within your Podcast Episode box that’s separate from the iTunes Summary field. Enter the description you want there and see if that changes things in the correct way.

The iTunes desktop application pulls its summaries from the iTunes Summary tags in your podcast RSS feed. The iOS Podcasts app pulls them from the main blog post part, usually the CDATA block. Apple has designed them this way. Why they decided they should work differently is anyones guess. For them to match, you’d need to manually enter the same things into both.
The AskPat iTunes Store (and in turns, iOS Podcast) source podcast RSS feed is:

When looking at the source code of the feed for AskPat, the latest episode is episode 0739. The source code for the description from the CDATA block looks like this:

They’re exactly the same. You can achieve the same thing by entering the text you’d like to appear in both podcast apps into the main WordPress blog post and the iTunes Summary field of your posts or you can just enter it once into the main blog post and leave the iTunes Summary box empty. That’ll prompt PowerPress to copy the contents of the main WordPress blog post into the iTunes Summary field automatically.
