Also can I filter out all but a certain “category” in the feed?
@dfrank43 the feed that you are using is not valid. Please check https://validator.w3.org/feed/check.cgi?url=http%3A%2F%2Finfo.advisorshares.com%2Ffeed%2F%3Fpost_type%3Dpage
Can you please explain (preferably with a screenshot of the feed) what do you mean by “category”?
I just tried it and it validated.
I also tried this one http://info.advisorshares.com/feed/?cat=41
@dfrank43 after your fixed the feed and it validated, it works for us as well.
Can you please ensure you are using the correct quotes
in the shortcode? If you use invalid quotes the plugin will not recognize the feed.
Here is what you used (the quotes look like MS Word’s quotes):
[feedzy-rss feeds=”http://info.advisorshares.com/feed/?post_type=page” max=”100″ feed_title=”no” summarylength=”120″ template=’style2′ columns=”3″ ]
and here is the shortcode with the correct quotes:
[feedzy-rss feeds="http://info.advisorshares.com/feed/?post_type=page" max="100" feed_title="no" summarylength=120 template="style2" columns="3" ]
I am getting the same error as you can see here.
The feed shows up fine in the wordpress editor but when I visit the actual site, it shows “feed has no items”.
@purdygroup please start a new thread; don’t hijack another thread as the reasons for your issue might be different. When you create a new issue, please paste the exact shortcode you are using.
