Support » Fixing WordPress » Why all my links directs to localhost

  • Hi, I installed WP last night on my WAMP server. When I try to enter the blog using my domain name like – http://www.abcdefgh.com/blog, I get the first page with out any style sheet, no top panel!!! The link to login shows up, once it is clicked it will take me to
http://localhost/blog/wp-login.php. I also have found that all the links points to http://localhost instead of http://www.abcdefgh.com. So with a remote computer this WP does not work!!!. On the other hand if I am using the same computer where it is installed the WP works perfect since the host computer points to itself as localhost. Any help will be highly appreciated.

You cannot use localhost as part of a domain or url as every single computer is designed to refer to itself as localhost. You need to change your site urls. See Changing_The_Site_URL.
