If you like to activate it again, you can do it, let us know and we will try to troubleshoot the issue. Site accelerator is one of the Jetpack features which is there to speed up your site.
If you activate Jetpack again, I’d recommend deactivating all other plugins you have installed (except Jetpack) and switching to default them like Twenty Twenty, and then checking again the speed because if there is a significant slowdown again if Jetpack is the only active plugin, I suspect this could be a conflict with another plugin/theme.
Jetpack doesn’t slow down your site because most of Jetpack is designed to speed up your site by taking the load off of your server, like our site accelerator, stats, subscriptions, and related posts which are all processed on our end (rather than hammering your database).
With that said though, the more Jetpack modules you add, the more your site has to initially process, just like it would if you added a separate plugin for the features, so always make sure you’re only using the features you want.
