# Why -2 in Permalink?

 * Sometimes I see at -2 at the end of my page names (permalink). As an example 
   I just made a page called /work-life-balance and when wordpress saves the page
   it is named /work-life-balance-2
 * I don’t have any other pages named /work-life-balance so I don’t quite understand
   what is going on.
 * Is there a way to see if the database contains such a page that can be deleted,
   or is there another way to deal with the issue.

 * That happens when WordPress sees another page or post with the same slug. Try
   visiting your post editor screen and look in the Trash section. If there’s a 
   post there that you don’t want (in the trash) then empty that out and re-try 
   your permalink slug again.

   There is no file in the trash. Any other suggestions
