You renamed your plugin from facebook-for-wordpress.php to FacebookForWordpress.php on the last update which causes a deactivation on any wordpress environment !! who does this … you are also using case sensitive filenames now, also a bad practice..

Hi, sorry to hear that and also for the inconvenience caused. We upgrade the plugin such that it would be easier for maintenance and integrate with other plugins. May I know what error do you get which causes a deactivation on the environment?

Yes you renamed your plugin activation file from facebook-for-wordpress.php which is what is used to identify the plugin to FacebookForWordpress.php

You do know that deactivates the plugin on every install out there that was running your plugin right ?

The above is the error caused by your update, you can see the file no longer exists and the plugin has been deactivated because of this.

And the new version sits there unactivated.

Thanks for the screen cap and flagging this to us! It is unfortunate that the update makes the previous version deactivated. This is our first time putting this plugin onto the WordPress and we do want to continuously improve the plugin and make it easier to maintain and integrate. Please manually reactivate the plugin in the meantime, while we are finding ways to solve this. Thanks again!

Hi, we have updated the plugin again to revert the file name. Please reactivate the plugin if you update to the latest version. Thanks!

and you changed a file name yet again resulting in yet another deactivation

Last one had a client anxiously call me to say money was going out on his FB promotion but stats were not changing…

Ha – this time I checked the changelog before updating only to see there was yet another filename change “I bet it will deactivate the plugin again” – and it did.

Sorry for the inconvenience caused. We noticed the previous update deactivated the plugin and we hope this change would help us minimize the effect to those who has not yet applied the previous update. Sorry again for the inconvenience.
