Wholesale Bulk and Retail Selling?

    Hello! I’m pretty new to woocommerce and was wondering if there was a recommended way to do this. I’m more than happy to pay for a plugin, or hire a developer to write a custom one but I have a very specific need.

    Essentially, we sell toys and we plan to sell in wholesale and retail. Retail is not an issue, since the whole point is to sell an item one by one. For wholesale, however, we never sell something if it’s not part of a bulk packaging. It’s an unwritten rule to never order stuff that breaks this rule. For example, buying one doll in retail is fine but in wholesale the wholesaler would need to buy in factors of 6, since this is how many dolls come in a bulk package.

    The question is: Is there a plugin that connects the stocks so it understands that if I sell one doll in retail, then it starts taking it from that bulk package of 6 dolls and maybe puts it out of commission for the wholesale side of things? This is breaking my head. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello there,
    You can use the core of WooCommerce to do this.

    I am not sure how you manage the wholesaler’s side of things, but if you set to sell the product in packs of 6, and a retail purchase reduced the available stock to 5, then the wholesale would not be able to buy the pack since only 5 items are available and they need minimum 6.

    WooCommerce handles this by default, at least the stock part. For the minimum purchasable quantity, you can have a look at Min/Max Quantities.
