I’ve typed enough tonight. You can see my thoughts on the upgrade throughout (not a horrible job considering you seem to have fixed all the issues).

I do have one question though. Who did the plugin? It sounds like the same author rewrote it for iThemes? Was that an iThemes mandate, the efforts of the the old developer or is it all new people?

For the record I saw your beta here and elsewhere for a while. You guys actually pushed that more than any plugin beta I’ve seen. Don’t take the “you didn’t test” bs personally. Those of us who know how to read can see you did your homework. That said, I remember the old author updating it and breaking a bunch a few years ago which quickly became what you just replaced. If it is the same guy I’m all for weathering the storm. He’s shown he’ll get it straight. If it’s new guys, that’s fine too but let us know. I think a lot of us long time users just want to understand what is actually going on.

One more favor please, can you put it back on github? I saw the code there until early this year when you moved it out for some reason. While I am sure you have your reasons it doesn’t bode well for pr as maybe some of us could have helped you out with them. The old guy was great for taking help where offered.

    Hello PluginGuy,

Thanks for the support and understanding. Chris Wiegman is still (and has always been) the lead developer, and he’s been working hard on fleshing out the remaining bugs. The decision to rewrite it was a group decision, and it’s something Chris has wanted to do for a while. With coming to work with us he was able to have the time needed to do this. We wish everything would’ve have went off without a hitch, but it didn’t, and we’re working hard to address the issues as quickly as possible.

As for github, this was done for internal reasons. We run an internal git repo system that is heavily integrated with our workflow and project management, as well as our distribution.

    Thanks again,

    Gerroald
