Support » Fixing WordPress » White text issue

  • I am noticing some issues when I am working in WordPress. I am brand new to this and so far everything is going great and I am learning a lot. With that said, there is one issue I have noticed and am stumped on. Actually its kind of a two part issue.

    1. When I create a new row, place in Visual Editor widget, then go into it to start adding content, I notice that the tool bar at the top wont be visible. All I will see is the “Add Media” button and the “visual” and “text” tabs. That’s it. Any ideas how to resolve this?

    2. After I am done entering text into the editor, and go to the view the page, the text always shows up white despite it [eventually] being colored in the editor? Am I doing something wrong?

  • The toolbar disappearing sounds like it could be some sort of plugin conflict. What theme are you using? Have you tried turning plugins off one by one and seeing if the problem goes away when a particular plugin is off?

For the second issue, it’d help if we could take a look at the website you’re working on and see what’s going on. Can you post a link to a page where this is happening?

Its the Tesseract theme by Tyler Moore. I have been following a video tutorial that he had done and used this theme and he also mentioned the 8 plugins that were to be installed. I have not tried turning them off but if I had to take a guess, I would think it would be the “visual editor” plugin since thats the one that is used almost exclusively through the site.

I tried typing sample text on a page, assuming it was going to show up white, and of course it worked fine. I will keep an eye out on that issue and see if I can figure something out. Ill be sure to check into the plugin itself.
