Ok, this same exact problem was described by another member 7 months ago, it has obviously not been resolved but I was told by a moderator that I had to start my own thread, so although I am basically reporting the same problem again, here goes.

When you use the responsive slideshow, depending on screen size you can end up with a large gap before the following text. This is especially evident on smaller screens. Looking at the code, it seems that the slideshow container takes whatever height you declare as the maximum height in the slidheshow settings. If you don’t declare a maximum height (i.e. you leave the settings blank) it is auto-filled as 400px and this is the height that is given to the container.

This is not truly responsive behaviour: only the images resize themselves, but the container doesn’t and the resulting white space looks really bad.

I tried forcing height:auto on the container using CSS but it doesn’t seem to work.

Using the latest WP and Nextgen by the way.
