    Hi All,

After a power glitch that took out my server I have replaced it with a new one, installing CentOS 6.4 and WordPress 3.5.1.

I know I was due for an upgrade anyway; my previous WordPress version was 3.4 something on Centos 6.3, I think, which had been routinely updated via Yumex. The last WordPress upgrade was about 12 months ago.

Newly installing WordPress 3.5.1 on the new CentOS 6.4 works OK, but when I execute SQL to restore my old data files I get a white screen.

I have switched DEBUG to true, and on the one site which does display I get the error message:

“Notice: wp_enqueue_script was called incorrectly. Scripts and styles should not be registered or enqueued until the wp_enqueue_scripts, admin_enqueue_scripts, or init hooks. Please see Debugging in WordPress for more information. (This message was added in version 3.3.) in /var/www/html/crusader/wp-includes/functions.php on line 2959 Notice: get_theme_data is deprecated since version 3.4! Use wp_get_theme() instead. in /var/www/html/crusader/wp-includes/functions.php on line 2839 Notice: get_theme_data is deprecated since version 3.4! Use wp_get_theme() instead. in /var/www/html/crusader/wp-includes/functions.php on line 2839”

I suspect that all the sites will be experiencing similar errors.

All help right now would be very much appreciated.

    Gil

    Hi Gil,

This message simply means that the theme you were using, is not compatible with WordPress 3.5.1. The message is telling you that there is an old function present in the theme, which WP no longer supports (more specifically, will not be supporting… hence, deprecated).

    Here are your options:

    1. Switch to a theme which supports WP 3.5.1.
    2. Contact the theme developer and see if they have plans on a release which supports WP 3.5.1.

    Hope this helps.
