Support » Fixing WordPress » White Screen of Death – Plugin Error – Cannot Access Dashboard

  • Dear all,

I have tried to solve this issue with the documentation. I hope that I did not missed something vital.

I have checked the logfiles from my webhost and the issue is a plugin (PHP fatal error). The problem is that I cannot even get to my dashboard so I cannot inactivate the plugins.
All I see is a white page with the following text:
    Server error 500

How do I go about this? How can I access the dashboard to inactivate the plugins?

Is there any way to do this or is the true death of my page?

I wish you a pleasant week!

    With kind regards
    Anna Zakrisson

if you can’t get to dashboard….

you can delete a plugin if you have FTP access or access to webhosting cpanel file manager.
you can temporarily rename your plugins folder to disable all plugins.

Thank you for your answer. Yes, I will try to access via FTP.

    Have a great week!
