    Hi there,

just installed this plugin and it throws no errors but when saving settings the page randomly just goes blank sometimes. No error code, nothing. Just crashes white at this location:

    /wp-admin/admin.php#

That’s including the pound sign. (Update: It’s likely the pound sign causes this. It appears when navigating between the settings pages of this plugin. Removing it manually before saving does not produce the error.)

(Update 2: Well, not ALL the time at least… something’s definitely wrong in that area.)

    WP Core: 6.5.4
    WPvivid: 0.9.102
PHP: 8.0.30 initially, updated to 8.2.18 with same results

    Hello,

The URL of the WPvivid settings page is /wp-admin/admin.php?page=wpvivid-setting. After saving changes, the URL remains unchanged, and there is no pound sign (#) at all. This issue appears to be specific to your site.

It is recommended to deactivate other plugins and then try saving changes on the WPvivid settings page again.

The URL does change though, you may not intend it to do so but it most certainly does.
Navigating between settings pages changes the url between these variations:

    /wp-admin/admin.php?page=wpvivid-setting
    /wp-admin/admin.php?page=wpvivid-setting#
    /wp-admin/admin.php?#
    /wp-admin/admin.php#?page=WPvivid

I’ve disabled all other plugins and it’s still happening. There’s nothing in my .htaccess outside of the default WP bit.

    Hello @magictrashcan

If so, would you send us a debug zip of the site to support(at)wpvivid, com with a link to this thread. You can find it in the Debug tab of the plugin.

    All the best,

Turns out the culprit was a brower extension called ClearURLS (Chrome) which causes issues with the URL rewrites. Deactivating it immediately resolved the issue. Thanks to the WPvivid team for taking such good care of the issue.
