White screen of death

Installed with default options, opened a page and clicked ‘Edit with Elementor’ – white screen, nothing. Tried the same with a new page, same fault again. Deactivated all plugins, same fault. Deleted every other plugin, same fault. Switched to Twenty Sixteen theme, same. Reset WP back to it’s default state as a clean install, same fault. How can people commit to a plugin like this? It’s not covered in the FAQs, and the answer isn’t in anything I found on a Google search, I’d already tried every suggestion. Page builders do not play well with WordPress.
