    I am developing my site, and was away from it for a few weeks. I came back to do some work on it, and got the white screen that many people have been experiencing. This is site wide, and not just on my calendar page. My ai1ec version is 2.1.5

    I have turned on WordPress debugging, and I get the error:

    Fatal error: Class Ai1ecIcsConnectorPlugin contains 1 abstract method and must therefore be declared abstract or implement the remaining methods (Ai1ec_Connector_Plugin::get_tab_title) in /home1/mysite/public_html/wp-content/plugins/all-in-one-event-calendar/lib/calendar-feed/ics.php on line 594

    I have tried renaming the ai1ec directory, so that it’s disabled, and when I do that, I can see the site on the front end, but trying to login to the WordPress admin gives me the error:

    You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.

    I am the administrator, and have never received this error before. I am thus completely locked out of my site, as even removing the plugin does not help. I have tried turning on debugging within the /wp-content/plugins/all-in-one-event-calendar/all-in-one-event-calendar.php as mentioned in several threads, but there has been no change.

    Any suggestions?

  • Hi, what do you mean “removing the plugin does not help”?Because if you delete the plugin from the filesystem and see no changes, that means that your host is using some caching, a plugin can’t crash a site if it’s not in the filesystem

    To clarify, when I say removing the plugin doesn’t help, I mean that the white screen and fatal error disappear when I remove the plugin, but I still receive the message that I ‘do not have sufficient permissions to access this page’ when trying to access the WordPress admin.

    The first time I have ever received this permissions error is when I first saw the white screen, after I renamed the ai1ec plugin directory.

    a quick google search of ‘all in one event calendar sufficient permissions’ reveals that many others have encountered something similar (although I have not found a solution in those threads).

    Chip_88, your problem is not the same as mine, you should open your own thread so that support can address your problem specifically.

    @jamaico how can our plugin be causing the “do not have sufficient permissions to access this page” if our plugin is not on the filesystem?
    Are you maybe trying to access a page which do not exist?
    Because that’s a common wordpress error which can have lots of causes

    I am navigating to http://mysite.com/wp-admin, where I see the usual login prompt. I enter my info as usual, and I get the permissions error. I do not know how the plugin could affect the site when it is not in the file system, but I am not the only one to have this problem (see my above Google search), and the two issues showed up on my site simultaneously.

    Do you have any suggestions?

    Jamaico, as requested, I opened a new topic!
    So your problem can be solved specifically and mine also… 😉

    Good luck, man!

    @chip_88 thanks a lot will answer tomorrow
    @jamaico can you look at the value of the variable active_plugins in table wp_options?

    Thread Starter jamaico

    (@jamaico)

    The value is:

    a:15:{i:0;s:29:”gravityforms/gravityforms.php”;i:1;s:26:”ag-custom-admin/plugin.php”;i:2;s:55:”all-in-one-event-calendar/all-in-one-event-calendar.php”;i:3;s:75:”convert-address-to-google-maps-link/convert-address-to-google-maps-link.php”;i:4;s:34:”custom-sidebars/customsidebars.php”;i:5;s:53:”easy-bootstrap-shortcodes/osc_bootstrap_shortcode.php”;i:6;s:25:”membership/membership.php”;i:7;s:31:”page-links-to/page-links-to.php”;i:8;s:35:”redux-framework/redux-framework.php”;i:9;s:53:”seedprod-coming-soon-pro/seedprod-coming-soon-pro.php”;i:10;s:41:”shoestrap-3-extra-widget-areas/plugin.php”;i:11;s:47:”shoestrap-extras-pack/shoestrap-extras-pack.php”;i:12;s:45:”shoestrap-shortcodes/shoestrap-shortcodes.php”;i:13;s:14:”types/wpcf.php”;i:14;s:21:”wp-views/wp-views.php”;}

    Can you delete

    i:2;s:55:"all-in-one-event-calendar/all-in-one-event-calendar.php;

    from the string?

    No luck, I still receive the error.

    I have decided to restore from a previous backup before the plugin update, since this is a client site that I need to move forward on (You can close this thread). Thank you for your help!
