    Hi there: I’m brand new to wordpress and use BlueHost and am unable to log in to my admin/site on wordpress.
    Site URL: http://www.lovelydwelling.com

    I purchased the Genesis framework with a child theme (fabric). I uploaded and activated Genesis and the site still worked fine; after selecting the child theme (fabric) from my downloads and uploading it, I CAN NO LONGER ACCESS THE ACCOUNT AT ALL. lovelydwelling.com comes up totally blank, as well as the admin.

    I already submitted my question to wordpress forums and received this response:

    Start off by deleting the chhild theme from your server. If that doesn’t work, delete the other theme as well. This will “force” WordPress back to using the default Twenty Eleven theme.
    As a bit of an idea, from what you’ve said it sounds like the problem is that your child theme has an error somewhere in the code, and your server is set up to not show errors. If you’re OK with using PHP, you can add two things to try and check this. Open your wp-config.php file and change:
    define'WP_DEBUG' false);
    to true and if that doesn’t make a difference try adding
    error_reporting (E_ALL);
    That will set the error reporting to show up any errors that are there.

    My update is that I deleted the child theme; could access; then re-uploaded it, and now I get the white screen again where I cannot log in at all. And now when I log in the admin through blue host, the child theme is not there to delete.

    I’m so frustrated, can’t seem to get any support. My questions are
    1) How do I fix the white screen error
    and 2) if the issue is with the child theme (which I paid for), what do I do to resolve that issue? Genesis doesn’t offer any support.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated, since my site is sitting blank!

    Thank you!

    Lauren

    That’s NOT true. If you actually paid for your theme they will definitely help you troubleshoot installation problems.

    Besides that point, we couldn’t really tell you why you are getting the blank screen since you haven’t posted any error logs or anything. Why not try backing up your database, re-installing WordPress and then installing the theme? If not that, disable all your plugins and try again.
