White screen after Core update

    I logged into my website (fpcchicago.org) and did an update that I was prompted to do and then it just went to a white screen. I was on this page when it all went blank. http://fpcchicago.org/wp/wp-admin/update-core.php

    Now even if I try to log in, I just get a white screen. People can go to the front end of the site (fpcchicago.org) and see it, but once they navigate off the homepage it is white for them too.

    I have seen a number of thread suggestions about replacing coding, but I cannot even log into the site at all to change anything.

    – you don’t need to login
    – try MANUAL updating. Download a fresh copy of the WordPress .zip file to your computer, unzip it, and use that to copy up all files and folders EXCEPT the wp-config.php file and the /wp-content/ directory. You may need to delete the old copies of files & folder on your server before uploading the new ones. Read the Manual Update directions first.
    – If you haven’t already done, always backup everything (including your database) before doing any actions, just in case something really goes wrong.
