    upgrading a few of the installed plugins though, I couldn’t login anymore.

    First, check if these plugins upgraded plugins are compatible with your OLD 2.9.2

    I am going to guess that one of them was not compatible. However, I cannot fully check that because I cannot login…

    Anyone with advice on how to login? I wouldn’t think that an incompatible plugin would completely annihilate the entire dashboard/Wordpress experience on a site!

    Worst case scenario, anyone know how to revert to an older version, or go back?

    You don’t need to login to check. If you can’t get into your admin dashboard, try resetting the plugins folder by FTP. If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems. Also remember to deactivate any plugins in the mu-plugins folder (if you have created such folder). The easiest way is to rename that folder to mu-plugins-old.

    Not recommended.

    You already have pretty old version. My suggestion would be to update to the latest version. If you decide to do that, follow this codex:
