# White screen after activating plugin

 * I installed this plugin and ran through the settings, activating what was recommended.
   When I reloaded my home page, I got a white screen. Any suggestions on how to
   make this plugin work or where I should start looking? I know the obvious answer
   is to start with a basic plugin conflict test, but I don’t really have any unnecessary
   plugins installed at this point.

 * The usual culprit is the HTML minification option, especially if you have some
   other plugin trying to capture and modify something on the html.
 * I suggest you try to disable html minification (or try the alternative minification
   option), or even perhaps enabling it on your cache plugin in case you’re using
   one.
 * If you have access to the server logs, you can also look at it.

 * Hello Raul!
 * Disabling HTML minification did not fix the issue. Checking the “fix page editors”
   box fixed it for a logged-in user, but not for a user who is not logged in.
 * I assume I have access to server logs (I have access to cpanel) but I don’t know
   what I would be looking for or what knowledge I would gain by doing that.
 * I did not purge any caches between setting changes, does that matter?

 * If that option fixed it for logged in users, it’s probably a javascript or css
   conflict.
 * Try to disable js processing or css processing to determine which one.
    Once 
   you know, you have to try to find out which file conflicts via the ignore list.

 * Be advised however, that it may not be easy to find the issue with your theme
   or plugins.
    You would be better off hiring a developer to do the speed optimization,
   or you could try other plugins such as autoptimize.

 * I took the easy way out and used autoptimize. Looks like it’s doing the trick.
   Thanks for your help.
