[Resolved] White pages on website and admin-pages after update

    Hello,

I tried to upgrade to version 2.0 but after the update I only get white pages on the website and in the backend. If I look into the html-source it only contains a “1”.

    Downgrading brought back my website.

During the upgrade process, the message was shown, that the plugin was updated, but NOT the message, that the plugin was activated again. After that all reloads brought white pages.

I just tried to do the update manually by deactivating the plugin and uploading and overwriting the old files with the new ones.

But unfortunately after activating the plugin – all pages are white again.

Downgrade back to 1.9.13; it resolved my white pages issues. Here are the instructions from NextGen.

P.S. See the first support issue on the Support Link titled:

DO NOT UNINSTALL NextGEN if you are having issues with 2.0

@laskowv That’s what I said in my first post 🙂

I found the reason: It was a conflict with the plugin “More fields”, which isn’t maintained anymore, but still worked.

I migrated to “Advanced custom fields” and was able to upgrade NGG.

@gerobe: Thanks for posting your solution. I’ll add MORE FIELDS to our known list of plugin conflicts.
