White Gap Below Header in Twenty Eleven 2011

  • Hello, I recently removed the search bar from my header and moved it up, by adding {display : none} after the site title, the search bar, and the description.

    However, when I removed the search bar, it added a line of white between the header and the menu. You can see it here: http://www.RabbitontheRun.ca

    I can’t find the css or php that I need to eliminate it. I’m confident that it has something to do with the search bar, even though I’ve also pulled it out of the php now. Can you help me find what is causing this?

  • Not sure the exact cause, but you can move the menu up by modifying the margin in the #access selector in style.css, or by adding this to the end of style.css:

    #access {
        margin: -6px auto 6px;
    }

    THANK YOU. This fixed it immediately. Seems to be a pretty common problem with the Twenty Eleven theme. Next time I won’t waste any time fussing with it, I’ll just hit the forums.
