Everything is fine on my home page but when you click on a post to “continue reading” it loads to a new page and the content is pushed half way down the page leaving a huge dead space at the top. This issue presents itself on all my posts and whether you are using desktop, tablet or phone. Please help! Thank you.

    Thanks for using Author!

Did you recently migrate your site or import your content? I think there may be an issue with WordPress finding the Featured Images.

Visit the post editor, locate the Featured Image option in the right sidebar, and try removing and reselecting the Featured Image. Then save the post and it should display correctly. Since there are only four posts on the site at this time, it shouldn’t take too long in case this needs to be repeated for each post.

I did recently import the image from unsplash (week ago). I tried removing the image entirely and the content does move to the top. I then added the feature image back in and the issue appears again.

I tried using some of the default photos that came with the theme and same issue. I also scoured and tried various css codes to no avail either. Thank you Ben for helping me btw. Really appreciate it.

Hi Ben just quick update I resolved the issue. It turns out it was the “FSM Custom Featured Image Caption” plugin that was causing the problem.

Thank you again for your time and your help did steer me in the right direction.

    All the best.

That’s great to hear. Thanks for sharing your solution here!

This plugin hasn’t been updated recently but has been working well with our themes for adding captions to Featured Images: https://wordpress.org/plugins/featured-image-caption/
