White Blank Screen?

  • My blog ‘disappeared’ about a week ago. It’s been replaced by a white blank screen. I can’t even access my wp admin panel. The only access I have is via FTP so I tried disabling plugins and themes but no luck. Can anyone help? I’m starting to panic! (a little out of my comfort zone with this sort of stuff so simplified explanations would be GREATLY appreciated) Thanks so much!

    @t-p

    If it’s the white screen of death, that’s normally a PHP problem, so I’d guess a theme or plugin issue.

    I tried disabling plugins and themes but no luck.

    -have you tried switching to the default twentyeleven theme?

    – have you tried resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems (because the hooks remain unless plugins completely removed or some plugins stick around in cached files. So by renaming the folder, you break them and force them inactive).
