• There was a problem with my host, so I reinstalled WP.

    First I tried a fresh install of 3.01. It worked, managed to install, but can get to WP-Admin, all I see is a blank page. This can’t be a plug-in issue because there are no plug-ins.

    Cleared out the directory, installed 2.9. This works.

    Couldn’t automatically upgrade to 3.01.

    Did a manual upgrade and found my way back to the white screen of death.

    I suspect the problem is with the host – how can I know?

  • ask them if they have this
    * PHP 4.3 or greater
    * MySQL 4.1.2 or greater
    * The mod_rewrite Apache module

    if they have this minimum then try switch to default theme may be the theme you using is not compatible.

    @govpatel – it’s a clean install, I was using the default theme.

    The host has all the above, the site was working fine four days ago, then the host had an outage. It hasn’t worked since.

    Have you checked with them as if fresh install does not work then it must be the server.

    @govpatel – I think you’re right, it’s the server.
