Which versions of Facebook Graph API are supported

    Facebook is sending me warning messages about Graph API

    API graph v2.12 will be deprecated on May 05, 2020.

    I read the plugins’ docs and FAQ, but did not find any information about which version(s) of the API you are currently supporting; the only think I found is a thread in the support forum, stating that The plugin is already using version 3.0 for api calls.

    It would be nice if you could confirm if later versions are also supported, and maybe reference this information in the documentation and/or a FAQ as well.

    I upgraded my app to 3.0 for now, but that is only a very short term solution, as according to the Graph API Changelog, that version is only available until July 26, 2020…

    Even if you do not update the api version it will be updated automatically.
    And there is no issues regarding this,we are already using 3.0 in api calls.
    We will update the plugin before July 26 with the latest version .

    That is good to know.

    That being said and for the record, 3.0 is not the latest version, it is actually the oldest that will still be supported after May 1st. The most recent version is 6.0.

    So it would be interesting to know, whether your plugin also works with newer versions as well (something for the FAQ too, I guess).

    I am reassured by this post and look forward to the update before v3.0 is dropped.

    Is there a way to control which version of the API the plug-in is using? It seems that whilst our site is using v3.0 the latest is v7.0.

    I am interested to learn why is the plug-in appears to be so far behind.

    @iwaddo We have updated the plugin(a month ago) with the latest API version v7.0.
    Please get the latest version of WP2Social Auto Publish.
    If your app is using v3.0 ,you can continue using it until July 28, 2020 after that it automatically updated to the latest version.If your app is approved with publish_pages and manage_pages permission then it will be migrated to the new permissions automatically.
    If any issues then just click on the reauthorize button in the Settings page of WP2Social Auto Publish.

    It seems to be working and I have just completed reauthorisation.

    I will come back here if things stop working at the end of July.
