Email tranctions are unlimited for selected plan but you will have to recharge for OTP Over SMS before you use it.

The premium plan is paid for (e.g. 99 plan) so you get the basics, but you don’t get any updates – you have to buy additional support if you release a bug fix or other improvement? Is that right ?

Apologies that you probably got confused with the description we have written.
We already include plugin updates, bug fixes, and other plugin’s compatibility with our plugin license itself and you don’t need to have a support plan for that.
If you go with a support plan, you get access to 4 hours of support with our engineers. Support plan is not mandatory but it is recommended as it offers good response time and priority support.

When I looked at buying the premium lite plan, it was very confusing, wanting 99, then another 99 for updates, then another 40 for email, then another 65 for sms……

No, you won’t have to buy additional support.
The price of the 2FA license is an annual cost which includes access to the plugin updates, bug fixes, and basic email support. You don’t have to pay an extra amount for the bug fixes and plugin releases.
The $99 support plan is just for priority support and is completely optional.
I understand the language was a bit confusing on the site and we’ll get the text updated to avoid future confusion.
* Why is there an additional cost for SMS and Email?
Whenever you use SMS/EMAIL in our plugin, we are being charged by our SMS/SMTP service providers. So we charge additional fees for SMS or Email OTPs based on your usage.
You can choose to configure your own SMTP and SMS providers if you want. In that case, you don’t have to pay us any cost for OTP transactions.
Also, if you are using methods like Google Authenticator, QR code, Push notifications, or any other mobile application-based MFA, you don’t have to pay OTP cost.

You can choose between our 2-factor and OTP plugin based on your needs.
If you are looking for a complete MFA solution, 2-factor is suitable and for just OTP verification needs (with either SMS or Email) our OTP plugin is more suitable.
We can support Firebase with both the plugins but it does not have out-of-the-box support and will require some integration efforts based on which login form you are using.
Also, our OTP Over SMS and Email templates are fully customizable.
You can refer to this guide for changing the language of the plugin.
