[resolved] Which outbound port is used to send transaction reports? (4 posts)

    v3.8.14.1

My host has considerately blocked all outbound ports as a security measure and will only allow ports by specific request.

Since they did this, my transaction report emails have stopped.

How do I find out which port WordPress is using to send these emails?

    Thanks

    Steve

Hey there, The reports are sent by WordPress and no WPEC.
We just hook into WP core to tell wp to send out the email.
I believe it might be regular php mail.

    OK. Thanks.

I've asked a similar question on of WordPress as I have noticed that this is not the only problem.

I have no Google Analytics, no Akismet and no new user regitration (admin) emails...

    Holier than thou hosting companies...

    Steve

PS: they have also arbitrarily set my php.ini file upload limit to 2M. As I'm paying for the storage, I don't see what gives them the right to do that. :-(

Well its something you should take with your hosting company. Or change to another :)
