  • Does it matter how I set-up WP? I tried installing in the root folder and it seems to effect the overall loading time. Would it be better to delete and start again with the installation in a /wp folder under the root directory?

  • There should be no difference in loading time between the root folder and a sub-folder. It’s still the same server doing the work, so I can’t imagine why it would take any different time to load.

The only difference is how you are going to use the site. If it’s purely an add-on blog, then a sub folder can be a better idea. If you’re using this it as your main site, then do it in the root folder.

Thanks, just what I need to know.
