Which core code adds the dimensions to an image upload?

  • Hey,

I’m trying to work out how this works so I can hook into the media uploads and push them into a different storage mechanism, this detail is arbitrary to this problem however:

I need to know where WordPress adds the image dimension suffix to an image. I’ve spent about 3 hours trawling through lines and lines of code I just can’t see where it is at the moment 🙁

When I’m currently hooked into ‘wp_handle_upload’, ‘wp_save_image_file’, ‘wp_save_image_editor_file’, and ‘wp_create_thumbnail’ and I can’t see anything happening in any of these at the moment. 🙁

    Any help is greatly appreciated,

    Cheers

    Sam
