• this is probably the dumbest question: where do I find the source code? I just got into working with wordpress again after not having touched it for a few years, and I can’t find where to edit css, html and php for my theme? I’ve been googling around for an hour or so… I’m using the software from wordpress.org and the twenty sixteen theme at the moment.

    big thanks
    A

Some posts and tutorials say that there’s supposed to be an “editor” option under “Appearance”, but there is not!

Some hosting providers disable this editor in case people break their sites. You should check with them

    Ok, thanks!
if that’s the case, is there a way around? if I do my own installation instead of the 1-click version perhaps?

Yea but I’ve made an assumption and my assumption can be incorrect
