Hi Frank,
Please can you post the backup log? Use pastebin.com to paste it, as it’ll be too big for this forum, and post the pastebin.com link instead.
Best wishes,
David
Hi David
Thanks for the swift response, much appreciated.
Being fairly new to these things, where will I find the backup log and/or pastebin.com link? Happy to send you it if you can point me in the right direction.
Best
Archie
Hi David
I’ve used Chop instead of pastebin, as I don’t have a pastebin pro account and the log exceeded their 500k limit.
Link is below, may take several seconds to load.

Look forward to your thoughts.
Thanks

Hi Frank,
Thank you… how are you viewing your Google Drive folder? In the log, Google reports all of the entities, including database, as being successfully uploaded.
David
Hi David, I’m just looking in the Google Drive folder on my PC, using Windows, or the synced folder on the web, using a regular browser (Chrome). I see the same contents in each, as follows:
Each backup produces a GZ file of about 600k and 4x zipped folders. The contents of each folder appear to be as follows:
FIRST FOLDER CONTENTS – size 1KB
‘gallery’ file folder – empty
‘mu-plugins’ file folder – empty
‘wordtwit-data’ file folder – empty
‘index’ PHP script – 1KB
‘testBookad’ PNG Image – 1KB
SECOND FOLDER CONTENTS – size 20,357KB
‘plugins’ file folder
THIRD FOLDER CONTENTS – size 3,471KB
‘themes’ file folder
FOURTH FOLDER CONTENTS – size 22,889KB
‘uploads’ file folder
The ‘uploads’ file folder contains mostly images I’ve uploaded to site over the last 3 years, but it also contains two sub-folders. One, ‘et_temp’ which is empty, and another ‘profiles’, which contains the following:
.htaccess file – 1KB
.json file – 0KB
index PHP script – 1KB
scan JSON file – 2KB
scan JSON file – 6KB
That’s all I can see. Most of the images seem to be backed up, but I’m not sure where the rest of the content is – page content, posts, etc. It’s probably staring me in the face but not being familiar with this stuff I can’t see it. Let me know if I need to view it any differently.
Thanks
Frank
Hi Frank,
Your backup is fine; those are the expected contents. Page content, posts, etc., are part of the WordPress SQL database. That is backed up in the db.gz file.
Best wishes,
David
Oh cool, thanks for clarifying that David, I can rest easy now.
Much obliged.
Best
Frank
