# Where to put google tracking code

 * So I have the code to put on my site so Google can track it, however I’ve read
   where to put it “head” tag. That’s all the information it gives. Where do I find
   this ? Under the header, footer, sylesheet, I’m using the Anubis theme [http://www.passionforlivinglife.com](http://www.passionforlivinglife.com)
   
   I just want to know where I’m supposed to put the code so I can see how many 
   people are visiting my site. My dashboard doesn’t have the button “stats” to 
   check the statistics like the old wordpress.org site.
 * And my posts are showing the whole article that I’ve written, does anyone know
   why this happens. If I click on the post title to read it, it cuts off the last
   part of the article. Thank you for your help. I can’t see the site like that..

 * You’ll probably find it easier to use a plugin rather than editing your theme
   files.

 * Thanks, I installed the plugin, activated it, changed the settings, and I don’t
   see it on the dashboard or anywhere. Does it eventually show up or did I do it
   wrong.

 * If the plugin is activated the the options should be available on the left side
   via
 * [http://your-blog-url-here/wp-admin/options-general.php?page=google-analyticator.php](http://your-blog-url-here/wp-admin/options-general.php?page=google-analyticator.php)
 * Also on the main dashboard page, click Screen Options on the top right. You should
   be able to enable the “Google Analytics Summary” dashboard widget. It’s neat.
