I have WordPress installed on my domain so that my journal opens up on the main index page. However, all the files such as wp-login.php, wp-pass.php, etc. are stored right there in the public-html directory of my domain. In that same folder, I have other documents such as image files and subfolders to the people I am hosting. My question is, is there a way to put all wordpress documents in a folder within the public-html folder, entitled “wordpress” but still be able to have the journal open up on the main index page? The reason I am asking because I’m wondering if it will make things more secure to have all files in a centrally located folder, and also because it would make things more organized in FTP, especially because I’ll have less of a chance of accidentally overwriting a file. Thanks in advanced!
