Whereabouts would one insert simple html code for a blogs Bookmark Icon?
You don’t, you put a favicon.ico in the same directory, and its all handled automatically
If you want, feel free to add the following code to your html head (in the WP Header template):
<link rel="Shortcut Icon" href="/favicon.ico" type="image/x-icon" />
Just place a favicon.ico in the blog directory? I tried this, but so far its not picking it up…
It’s there, I can see it.
It needs to be in the root directory of your domain. You only get one favicon per domain.
Sorry for the double posting – thank you very much for the replies. I guess people can see it, for some reason I cant! lol
I tried using IE and Opera, cant see it in either… curious..
